PostSubject: safe glue   Wed Feb 20, 2008 8:18 pm

I have bought some rocks from the lfs and am thinking of making a sort of natural cave for the tank but think it might be an idea to glue the stones together to stop them falling on any of the fish.

Is there any fish safe glue I can use?

You could try aquarium silicone available at most LFS. That said, I used regular superglue on a broken aquarium ornament - I just left it to dry for a couple of days before putting it in the tank. Marine fishkeepers use superglue to attach corals to liverock so if it's good enough for them...Wink

I think you can use silicone fishfan for sticking rocks etc. You can buy small tubes of it at a lot of lfs or eveb B@Q.

you building someone a new home? Very Happy

I saw one somewhere.. they used a small piece of pvc guttering (not drainpipe) & made some holes in here & there, then siliconed pebbles on, it looked great
