PostSubject: Molly died   Sun Feb 17, 2008 4:22 pm

My molly that has had the white spots on it has just died, and I still dont know what it was.

I have done a big water change on the tank about 50% but dont know if I need to put anything in the water. I have seen some Interpet stuff that is supposed to keep down the amount of bacteria in the tank. Would it be worth getting it?

Sorry to hear about the fish jammy.

I wouldn't bother adding anything to the tank unless there are obvious signs of disease, but be spot on with testing the water and doing water changes. Thats as good as anything I think.

No Sorry about that jammy. As mentioned above, there is no need to add stuff to the tank. A lot of these additives are gimmicks(not all though, before i start a fight)!! Just keep up with the water changes. Very Happy

Aw sorry to hear that jammy. I buried most of my dead fish in the garden so at least they'll be fertilizer for the spring bulbs. The others I wrapped in a paper napkin and chucked in the bin. Sad
