Right I am going to use this to plan out my new tank! I want to go with a feature tank of Black Bar Myleus' because I absolutely adore them! so would like to have a shoal of them in my 300L(ish) tank. But I was wondering if you guys had any ideas/inspiration for other inhabitants... I love Bichirs (smaller ones obviously) But all ideas welcome!! Smile

Oooh, nice size tank Matt. When are you planning to get it?

Some sort of plec is essential I think Smile

Interesting choice, Matty. I've never seen the appeal of Silver Dollars myself but each to their own. Razz

Whynitica has some nice video footage of his ones in his tank thread. cheers

I don't know why I love them so much but they are soo great to watch when they shoal and they have a nice size!!

I am debating a lovely plec or bichirs... Its a tough decision! Smile

Bichir and any plec that will not fit in it's mouth can go together no problem. Wouldn't trust one with a Zebra Plec for example LOL.

If you go for ropefish get at least 3 - they don't do well alone and the larger the group the better.

Great that you are planning a new tank Matt. Did you see anything decent at your lfs.

300litres is a nice size tank so you could have a great display in there Smile
