I have NEVER seen that fish before! Are they rare plecs Mike? Is that the colour of the male or female?

Sorry for the questons but I love leatrning about the fish people have Smile

Whiptails arent rare as such - i dont see them very often down here in the LFS but I have seen one mislabled in the past as a twig catfish (which resembles a stick insect)

Nice colour and quite interesting - doesnt look like a plant wrecker either Very Happy

They are not that rare Charley, if you have a good LFS they could
probably order one in for you, Both males and females have the awesome red colouration but i'll have to be honest and say which sex mine is.
I do know that they have been spawned successfully in the home aquarium,
so maybe that's a new project for you?

It dosn't seem to wreck the plants at all, just likes to hang out on them.
