Well - again this is repeating what ive geard from others - that Oscars can be fussy about food as they get older. Obviously as they frow they are going to need more and bigger sized snacks - but i think as long as you dont make ttrouble for yourself and habitualise the fish to a set diet - pretty much anything goes - so the prwans etc are good, you could try white bait, salmon flake - fish in general (*no im not suggesting live feeding)

You could try worms (get earth worms from the garden or live meal worms from lfs sold for lizards and birds) or even waxworms. I would strongle suggest specialised cichlid pellets - large pellets as well as carnovore type pellets

Basically its going to be a case of trial and error - I think oscars are the hovvers of the fish world n will eat almost anything - as long as you dont allow them to get fussy in the first place - Ive also heard they are expert beggers and will learn 'the look' to get you to feed em Wink

Do a google search - im sure youll come up with a big list of foods to try

Hope this helps

algae disc are fun to feed to oscars.
i feed one to mine prob every 3rd or 4th day. he/she actualy waits for it and usualy you can feed it by hand.

then after he/she has it will actualy play with it by taking it to the top of the tank droping it and chases (almost like hunting it with the way they move) it to almost the botom the grabs it. and repeats over and over till he/she gets bored.

Definitely mix foods or they do get fussy. They need a balance so some veg is good for them - peas the obvious choice but any fish safe veg can be offered. Also a mix of floating and sinking food to keep them active and searching for food.
