One of my goldfish is on a suicide mission. Shekeeps swimming into the space between the side of the internal filter and the tank and then not being able to swim out because she cant swim backwards! I keep having to rescue her by removing the filter and letting her swim back into the tank, but cant keep doing this all the time.

Anyone get any ideas what could be used for blocking the gap and that the fish wont be able to eat etc?

Well after my amano shrimp vanished from the three foot tank, I plugged the gap with some of that coarse blue filter sponge. Maybe that's an option.

Got a death wish by the sound of it - are you loooking after it properly? Perhaps it has 'issues' that need to be addresed

Maybe she's hiding from something? Or someone?
Or she could be pretending to be a spy on the run.

Dont you kow that fish cant be spies - they have too much trouble driving the Astin Martin for a start, and trying to make a decent Vodka Martini (shaken not stirred of course) is just inpossible
